Celadon Maebyeong with Incised Dragon Design
![]()
This is an incised celadon maebyeong vase from the Goryeo period. The body's profile rises slightly upright from the base, then spreads out at an angle and curves gently toward the upper part. Vertical lines are incised on the surface to create melon-like ribbing, with a dragon design within a foliate-shaped panel and peony designs incised in the background. It has an inset foot and was fired on supports of white refractory clay.
