Lute-shaped Bronze Sword

This is a mandolin-shaped (Liaoning-type) bronze dagger of the Bronze Age, excavated from dolmen No. 26. Its tip is missing, and the lower part of the protruding section is badly damaged. The base of the blade curves like a bow as it joins the blade body, while the tang is relatively long, has a groove on one face, and is oval in cross-section. A distinctive feature is the central ridge, which is oval in section near the tang but becomes hexagonal toward the protruding section.
